There is something wild and wonderful about backpacking. Carrying everything you need on your back- challenging your body and nurturing your spirit. This call to explore the wild is innate within us and this summer, we are answering the call Reveal Retreat style!!
We believe in the power of nature to bring about healing, integration of heart and mind and deep personal growth. We view connection and nature (and sweat) as integral parts of embodying our inner strength, resilience, power and confidence.
Join Kim and her co-facilitator, Anji Djubenski, for 3 days of intentional connection, growth and adventure!
What can you expect??
3 full days of backpacking with 2 experienced and fantastic leaders
Gear and training handbook
Intentional group time with connection and growth (ie: you will probably end up crying)
Introspective journaling prompts and discussion times
Expansion Brainspotting as a small group
Lots of laughter, tears, sweat and fun!
Participants will be carrying their own backpacks weighing 30 to 40 pounds, distances of 6-8 miles daily over varied terrain. To maximize your enjoyment of the trip, we strongly encourage participants to be involved in a training regimen before the trip. Most important to your enjoyment of the trip is your attitude, but overall fitness level makes a difference too.
What about the trail??
The trail will be one that is moderate in difficulty (meaning some elevation gain, but no mountain climbing). There may be (ok, probably will be) bugs and heat with potentially cold and/windy nights. The mileage will be in the 20 mile range (roughly 6-8 miles per day). There may be creek crossings (hello teamwork!) but there will always be ample access to water. You will be guided and led by Kim and Anji and who have over 15 years of experience hiking and backpacking. The trail description will be released in June.
The trip will be Thursday-Saturday, August 3-5, 2023.
Who can come?
This retreat is for female identifying persons who have a desire to connect deeply with others, challenge their bodies and minds, have fun and laugh and be open to learning and growth.
You don’t have to have backpacking experience (though it is recommended) and the group will travel at that pace of our slowest member. You will NOT be left behind.
Kim and Anji are here to support you as you seek out adventure and connect with nature. There are 6 spots available.
What about the gear??
You will need to supply all of your own gear except water filtration and a tent. You can rent a lot from REI or borrow from friends/family. Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Foster Outdoor and Next Adventure and Gear Fix (Bend) have used gear that is priced really well too.
The essentials gear you will need are: 65 liter (or higher) backpack, sleeping bag (recommend 20 degree), sleeping pad and good shoes.
If you have a backpacking tent, awesome! You may be asked to share.
*Gear Guide available to attendees.
What about the food??
We LOVE trail food!!! You will be responsible for bringing 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 days worth of snacks. Dinners are on us :) All the details are available in the Gear Guide that is included in your investment.
What about safety??
Anji is a certified WFR (Wilderness First Responder) holder and has many years of wilderness therapy experience. Kim is CPR/First Aid trained. Both have Garmin In Reach devices capable of texting and accessing help without the use of cell service. They both carry full first aid kits as well.

How much is the investment??
The retreat is priced at $549. This includes dinner on the trail and in restaurant, permit costs, transportation from meeting spot to the trailhead, gratuities to leaders, small group facilitation and all activities during the retreat.
